Mitek Systems Strengthens Management Team with Appointment of Murali Narayanan as Vice President of Marketing.

Mitek Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:MITK), a leading developer of automated check imaging and document processing solutions, announced today the appointment of Murali Narayanan to the position of Vice President of Marketing. Mr. Narayanan assumes his role with the Company immediately.

Mr. Narayanan has over 25 years of business development, product management and channel marketing expertise in the technology sector. Experienced at identifying target markets, market sizing and negotiating customer and partner agreements, Mr. Narayanan most recently served as Vice President, Business Development, at Embrace Networks, the developer of a software platform that enables the management and integration of electronic devices with remotely located software applications through the Internet. For the last 13 years, Mr. Narayanan has held senior management positions at such major technology companies as Motorola, SkyTel, AT&T and NCR. He was also a member of the technical staff at Bell Laboratories.

Mr. Narayanan holds a B.S. in Physics from the University of Madras, a B.S.E.E. from the Indian Institute of Science, an M.S.E. from the University of Michigan and a Master of Management from the Kellogg Graduate School of Business at Northwestern University.
